| Troubleshooting Open Directory Binding Issues: Where to Start |
|
|
If you encounter problems binding to an Open Directory server, investigate the simplest possible reasons before moving to the more complex: Use Network Utility or ping to confirm that a stable network connection exists to the Mac OS X server that is the Open Directory server. Use Network Utility or host to ensure that DNS resolution is available. More complex problems could involve SSL, access control lists, or missing or corrupted configuration files, to name a few. "I've used several other tech companies and none have come close to The Mac Guys. The thing I like best about The Mac Guys is that they do so much more than just fix your computer. They will also show you how to fix it yourself and make recommendations on which software or hardware might help you out, then tell you the best place to buy it."
