|
|
It's not a good idea to select an entire disk or volume as a share point because there are a number of files at the root of a volume that should not be user accessible as the system depends on them. These include temporary storage and trash folders. Excerpted from Mac OS X Server 10.4 Tiger: Visual QuickPro Guide by Schoun Regan |

“Tim over at the Mac Guys + has been a great IT consultant for us. He's very knowledgable about all things Mac and even PCs. Tim never automatically upgrades or suggests something new until he's had to learn about it and test it. He always has our best interests in mind and likes to make sure we are aware of our options when it's time to upgrade. I'll hire The Mac Guys again when given the chance.”
