Make Smarter Smart Playlists Using Keywords E-mail
Your iPod allows you to embed custom keywords into an MP3. Because they're embedded, the keywords travel along with the song when you move it from one computer to another. How would you use this feature? Say you're a DJ at a party next week. As you find songs for the party, choose File > Get Info for each song. In the resulting dialog, click the Info tab, enter your keyword "Party" in the Grouping field, and click OK. To put together a mix for the party, have iTunes create a Smart Playlist: Choose File > New Smart Playlist, select Grouping in the first pop-up menu, choose Contains in the second menu, and in the text field enter "Party." When you click OK, all the songs with the keyword (Grouping) of Party (regardless of their genre) will appear in your new "Party" Smart Playlist.
